She is not ashamed of her body and sexuality
She dances with the stars, she is fearless
She sees and sings about the future
Like a lioness she sheltered her cubs out of oppression
She is motivated by the words “impossible” and “cannot”
She puts on a purple dress for her wedding day
Her rebellious ways have driven her to challenge the status quo
She can never be confirmed, she is moved by the spirit
She sees creativity and beauty in kayos
She speaks out for those who can’t
There is nothing traditional about her!
Nothing is traditional about this woman,
She has a calling of servanthood for David’s people
David has clothed her with His robe,
David has protected her with His girdle
David has committed His government into her hands
David has ordered increase and unending peace upon her government
David has established it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever
She is a mother to all the inhabitants of the Promise Land and to many nations
David has laid upon her shoulders the “key of the house His house”
She shall open, and none shall shut;
And she shall shut, and none shall open.
She has became the daughter of David
David is zealous to perform all miracles in and through her life
