Nutrition, like most topics is the subject that should never be left to expects. Nutrition is the science that interprets the interaction of nutrients and other substances in food in relation to maintenance, growth, reproduction, health and disease of an organism. It includes food intake, absorption, assimilation, biosynthesis, catabolism and excretion.
A poor diet may cause health problems, causing deficiency diseases such as blindness, anemia, scurvy, preterm birth, stillbirth and cretinism. A poor diet can cause the wasting of kwashiorkor in acute cases, and the stunting of marasmus in chronic cases of malnutrition.
2016 Nigeria has been hit by the biggest humanitarian crisis in Africa, with the UN warning that some 100,000 people, mostly children, could die of starvation in the north-east unless they receive urgent aid.
The extent of the crisis has become clearer as the national army regains territory from militant Islamist group Boko Haram, which launched an insurgency in 2009 to establish Islamic rule in the region. Aid agencies say the humanitarian crisis in north-eastern Nigeria is growing, with more than two million people displaced by the war with Boko Haram.

Physician concluded that diseases are caused by deficiencies of elements (Wu Xing: fire, water, earth, wood, and metal), and he classified diseases as well as prescribed diets.
The Four elements (earth, air, fire and water) combine into “complexion”, which combines into states (the four temperaments: sanguine, phlegmatic, choleric, and melancholic). The states are made up of pairs of attributes (hot and moist, cold and moist, hot and dry, and cold and dry), which are made of four humours: blood, phlegm, green (or yellow) bile, and black bile (the bodily form of the elements). The body creates new cells everyday to renew itself.

Food provides the energy and nutrients we need to be healthy. Nutrients include proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water. Healthy eating is not hard.
- Eat a variety of foods, including vegetables, seeds, fruits, and whole-grain products
- Eat lean meats, poultry, fish, nuts, lentils, beans, and low-fat dairy products
- Drink lots of water
- Limit salt, sugar, alcohol, saturated fat, and trans fat in your diet
The list of nutrients that people are known to require is, in the words of Marion Nestle, “almost certainly incomplete”. As of 2014, nutrients are thought to be of two types: macro-nutrients which are needed in relatively large amounts, and micronutrients which are needed in smaller quantities. A type of carbohydrate, dietary fiber, i.e. non-digestible material such as cellulose, is required, for both mechanical and biochemical reasons, although the exact reasons remain unclear. Other micronutrients include antioxidants and phytochemicals, which are said to influence (or protect) some body systems. Their necessity is not as well established as in the case of, for instance, vitamins.
Most foods contain a mix of some or all of the nutrient types, together with other substances, such as toxins of various sorts. Some nutrients can be stored internally (e.g., the fat-soluble vitamins), while others are required more or less continuously. Poor health can be caused by a lack of required nutrients or, in extreme cases, too much of a required nutrient. For example, both salt and water (both absolutely required) will cause illness or even death in excessive amounts.
The macronutrients are carbohydrates, fiber, fats, protein, and water. The macronutrients excluding fiber and water provide structural material amino acids from which proteins are built, and lipids from which cell membranes and some signaling molecules are built and energy.
Saturated fats are usually fats that come from animals. Look for trans fat on the labels of processed foods, margarines, and shortenings.
Addiction: can be a result of a spiritual desire to run away from truth. An escape from life’s responsibility
Cysts-Fibrosis, lumps: stem from being convinced that one is not worthy.
Diabetes: comes from lack of faith or hope for the future. Chronic state of distress.
We should’nt just accept inherited illnesses as normal, we can stand against inherited diseases as well.
High-Cholesterol: -self righteousness, over critical, & cry for recognition.
And so on and so forth. I have prepared a paper on this subject, I will have to collaborate with specialist in health to endorse, scrutinize & contribute to what the Lord has given.

Just to see how easily we get into non-beneficial habits;
Growing up, we ate very good: 🥒veggies & fruits, different meats, we baked our bread “dumbles”, no salt or peri peri on the food, no spice & lots of fruits: we had trees of avos, bananas, mangos, papayas, guavas, oranges, even pineapples on our backyard. Berries falling from the trees.
My mother’s father was a farmer he influenced our way of eating. But culturally, we grew up and picked up bad eating habits & started eating junk food, infact we thought junk food is for the people more well off than us. Our cities, municipalities and government must be built in such a manner that these fast foods shops, are far out, to discourage our children from eating these brain killing highly saturated foods.
Let us introduce more foods in our diets, reduce white foods, carbohydrates, reduce bread if possible. Increase raw salads & reduce red meat. Ostrich and duck in place of beef. Reduce belly fat and reduce . A glass of wine per night can help you reduce alcoholic beverages for those who like a drink, especially over weekends. Weekend drinkers are mostly dangerous to over drink, trying to cover the score. I have noticed that people who take one glass of wine per night are moderate drinkers ..which also can benefit your heart condition.
If there was any topic close to my heart, it’s this one. Not only just from my heart but also the Lords heart towards us as a people. The Lord has loves us too much to just leave us to die at age 45 with heart attacks.
But it’s all across Africa, my people are dying of diseases that shouldn’t be killing us at this day and age. How can it be true that still claims so many lives in our continent in 2015. We should have had the vaccine by now… It’s not the first time West Africa is hit by this virus. We are more than capable…, We have doctors, we have labs, we have biologists, we have chemical engineer, universities, we have, we have….since has claimed more lives of Africans than anywhere else than we should be the ones supplying the world with treatment, and more research for cure.
The wonderful thing is that now we can gain the abundance of grace in wisdom …to implement ….because God has opened a door for prophets to rise amongst the people.
Let 2015 be our year yet…Let’s clean our , let’s take care of our & , it gives us food that nourishes our bodies so we can , and build facilities that will make our children
